In 2021, the Geneva Transformative Governance Lab received seed funding from the Digital Transformation Office of the University of Geneva for an interdisciplinary collaboration with the Department of Computer Science from the Faculty of Science of the University of Geneva.

In this one year project, the GTGLab is developing an approach to app interactions between norms in global governance. The project focuses on institutions based in Geneva and use natural language processing to identify patterns in hard and soft law instruments adopted by international organizations.The data will be visualized as multiplex network.

The principal investigator is Dr Didier Wernli in collaboration with Prof. Bastien Chopard (Department of Computer Science, Dr Stephan Davidshofer (Global Studies Institute), Dr Jean-Luc Falcone (Department of Computer Science), and Prof. Nicolas Levrat (Global Studies Institute).
